I learned it was more about maintaining what you already have and less about creating something new. K-beauty is more of a natural look that is lighter, compared to western look at is more outgoing with a heavier application of makeup generally. Specific accounts have been made on various social media sites to give information about skincare, makeup, or a combination of both. Most of the information that I encountered that way was positive. In today’s lecture, the rate at which the skincare industry is growing is impressive to learn about. While I was in high school, heavy or full coverage foundation was popular along with those western makeup styles show in the Tina Yong video. Nowadays, people in their 20s are putting more of an emphasis on skincare as they understand they’re starting to age.
