[ORDER SOLUTION] Fake News

This essay should follow the guidelines for an argument by definition. Remember, any we argument we write should have the “Four Pillars” to support the thesis (also referred to as the “claim”).

Make certain to take the time to proofread before you hand it in.
To save time, you are to use the sources in the book (pg. 408) and any primary sources that they may quote or list in their essay notes. If you use a source in your essay, you must create a Works Cited list on the final page that follows the MLA Guidelines in format. (See Purdue OWL).

[ORDER SOLUTION] Research Paper Sources

At this point you should go to “Research Paper Sources” and choose a writer, either a poet or fiction writer that will be the focus of your research paper. Our lessons beginning with last week asked us to consider the negatives and be self-aware of how literature can at times provide only a single story of a group of people whether by ethnicity, race, gender, religion, or other. This week the readings ask us to consider the positives to reading literature, one is that it can provide a lens to a multi-leveled view of a group of people and allow us to connect with others despite our differences. The other part to this week introduces us to the Romantic Period in which we should reflect on how a movement or time period can impact what the writer or artist creates. The Romantic period (1820-1860) charged its writers and artists to focus on self-awareness, to look to Art rather than Science to express a Universal truth, to understand if we are self aware that we are one with ALL humanity, that we have a moral duty to reform social inequalities and relieve human suffering. The idea of self was redefined. You must think about this influence in reading work from this time period.
Also, consider how you must think about your own study of your chosen writer. You will need to do the following in your Research Paper. See steps below:
1. Choose a poet or short story writer from list
2. Study personal biography of writer (for consideration of how this may have influenced his or her writing)
3. Study time period in which your writer lived (think for example how the Pandemic or George Floyd’s death will impact today’s writers)
4. Study where they live and what happened where they lived (Did they live through a war or live during a period of peace and prosperity?)
5. With that lens study the poems or stories and think about how those items impacted or shaped what they wrote
6. That should begin to shape your thesis statement (1-2 sentences about what you think the works were about *find a link between the works)
7. Use the poems or stories (in analysis to support your thesis), this will be your body paragraphs
8. Include other writers who also studied your author (include quotes or summarize their feelings about the artist/writer), and integrate that into your paper (please search PCCC’s online library for sources). You are searching for “Literary Criticism.”
*If you choose a poet, choose at least 8 poems found on line from your poet
*If you choose a fiction writer, choose at least 4 stories from your fiction writer
9. If you need a refresher on what a MLA paper looks like, go to Resources for a sample paper.
10. Go to “Example of a Literary Analysis Paper” to study what your papers should include

[ORDER SOLUTION] Should Prostitution be Legalized?

this paper has to be at least twelve paragraphs long, which is approximately 2500 words. 10 citations. There is an attached plannerfor the essay to be filled out as well. I have created a worksheet for you to help you plan your research paper. I hope that you remember the discussion we had about ethos, pathos and logos. If so, I hope you remember that there is a special type of logos appeal called the “condensed argument.” This type of condensed argument means that it is logic appeal with a lot of assumptions built into it. If we think about any condensed argument, we can begin to strip out the assumptions that the conclusion is based on. In this case we call these assumptions “warrants.” The word warrant really just means a reason. (So for example, in the phrase, a warrant for someone’s arrest really just means that a judge has created a document with a reason for someone’s arrest.) Warrant means reason.
When you create the thesis statement in the format of an assertion followed by three statements, the format we have been using in class, the three statements are actually your condensed arguments for the essay. So on the planner, at the top, put in your topic, and then write down the thesis statement in the format of the assertion and the three parts of the argument. Next, take each of those three part, and put them into the planner as condensed argument for part 1, condensed argument for part 2, and condensed argument for part 3.
Once you have done that, start analyzing your condensed arguments to extract the warrants. Strive to get four warrants for each condensed argument. Also, pull out at least one objection and your rebuttal for each condensed argument. You can do one for each warrant if you want to, but try to find at least one for each condensed argument.
Once you have this worksheet filled out, you have your essay almost written, believe it or not. Each warrant (you will have twelve), and each objection and rebuttal (you will have three) can be its own paragraph in your essay. That means that you actually have twelve paragraphs planned, and you only really need ten body paragraphs (and an introduction and conclusion). So chose the ten best, and write those paragraphs. Add an introduction and conclusion, and that the first draft of your research paper done.
When you chose your ten best warrants or objection-rebuttal pairs to write about, choose based on what you have drawn from articles that you can quote from to substantiate your position. As I have said before, it is really difficult to get good quotations from trying to research on the topic level because it is too general. Instead, once you have your warrants defined, use those to search in the databases for relevant articles. You will find material that is much more relevant to what you want to write. This will actually save you a lot of time. It may not seem like it, but trust me, it will save you a LOT of time.
As you read and pull quotes out of what you are reading, keep a running list of citations using the full citation (MLA style) for each article you read. This will also make it easier and save you time when you are trying to do the final version of your document with the in-text citations and the list of works cited.

[ORDER SOLUTION] Argument Synthesis Essay

Objectives:
Use techniques for critical reading
Develop an informed argument based upon previous reading and study
Conduct basic library database and web searches
Practice responsible use and correct citation of sources
Implement a mixture of summary, paraphrase, and quoting
Argue with a specific audience in mind
Synthesize multiple readings in an unbiased academic essay
Instructions:

Reread the articles between pages 310-325 about social networking privacy threats. After reading the four sources provided between those pages, write an Argument Synthesis Essay about one of the textbook articles and another online source (that you locate on your own) that discusses the same topic. For example, if you want to write about anonymous cyberbullying, you could pair Jonathan Mahler’s “Who Spewed That Abuse? Anonymous Yik Yak App Isn’t Telling” with another web article that discusses internet anonymity.

After evaluating the articles and developing your own perspective of the central topic, use the subject matter discussed in the two articles to help you argue an original point about social media privacy. More specifically, you will compose an arguable thesis about social media privacy, but you will use the support of two articles to lend credibility to your claim.

According to the synthesis concept described in Practical Argument between pages 341-343, you can “combine summary, paraphrase, and quotation from several sources with your own ideas to support an original conclusion” (341). In a nutshell, that is your goal for this new paper assignment.

Audience Tip: As a way to help you enhance the purpose of your paper, you could choose to direct your paper at a specific reading audience, like parents, new college students, new social media users, or another relevant party. With the knowledge you have gained from reading and critiquing multiple essays about social networking privacy, what do you believe __________ should know before they enter the social networking universe? Approximately 1000 words, plus a Works Cited page in MLA Format. Don’t forget your in-text citations! Please review the MLA formatting videos for document design and Works Cited page creation tutorials.
