Dynamics Report

Your project with be a report, in PDF format. The maximum length of the report will be 6 pages.  This report will detail how you would model local systems or machines using the dynamic analysis tools from this class.  Think of this as a research project to create an exam question, based on real-world situations, for future students in this course.  Your systems must satisfy the following requirements :  – could be modeled as a slider-crank or 4-bar mechanism.  – would analyze the system using work-energy or impulse-momentum  (including impact) strategies.  -if you can find one system to satisfy both, that’s fine.  Otherwise, you may find multiple systems, with a 3-page max per system. Your report must include: – pictures of your system(s) – description of your system(s) – schematic of the system(s) including slider-crank or 4-bar model (if applicable), free body diagram, and kinematic diagram. – problem statement indicating what you would like to solve, model, or track. – problem-solving strategy for the problem, including the outline or plan of solving the problem.  This does NOT need to include a numeric solution, but should include:        + vector diagrams or frame of reference indicating desired coordinate system (i.e. Cartesian, polar…)        + all assumptions for the system (e.g. frictionless surface, no air resistance, constant acceleration…)        + balance equations to use and how to apply them  (i.e. using work-energy….what would be the KE states, what would be the PE states, and what would be the nonconservative forces).

Code of Ethics Presentation

You should record a presentation that discusses in depth one of the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE) code of Ethics for Engineers, found at https://www.nspe.org/sites/default/files/resources/pdfs/Ethics/CodeofEthics/NSPECodeofEthicsforEngineers.pdf. Do not assume that your audience knows anything about NSPE of the Code of Ethics. Instead, explain what NSPE is, what the Code of Ethics is, and then go into detail about one of the specific codes. Do not discuss the code in general. Give details about exactly what the specific code means.  This presentation should be 5 minutes long, and the video file itself should be uploaded to Youtube. If you do not already have a Youtube account, you will need to create one. Then upload your video as a private video. If you wish to make the video public, you may, but you do not have to. Then post a copy of the URL link to your video along with the PowerPoint slides to both the Discussion Board (Code of Ethics Presentations) and the Assignments tab.  Video recordings of presentations work best if have a computer or other screen behind you as you record using your phone or camera. Try to find a setup where you can stand to present. Make sure that we can see both you, the presenter, as well as the slides. Face the camera as the audience, but DO NOT READ FROM YOUR SLIDES. In fact, it is best if you have to turn back to the screen to look at your content. Do not have a laptop or other notes of any kind next to or on the screen of your recording device. The point is to mimic an actual presentation situation where you would have a screen behind you while you face an audience.

Making the Case for Services

The main source for reference ( client: garrattcallahan.com). This is a 116-year-old water treatment company that works with any major industry that uses water to process products, create a concentrate, cooling towers, data center cooling (not HVAC) and large commercial buildings with water features, and healthcare. The subject of Solid/Liquid Separation is defined by this client as 3 main elements: 1) Water Treatment 2) Reverse Osmosis/reclamation and reuse technology 3) Filtration down to 0.005 microns to remove bacteria and any known virus. (disregard any centrifuge references and focus on filtration) Sympathetic services include a proprietary process for saving water during equipment cleaning and a unique product  developed for removing organic carbon I would also like to relate this to their ability to provide wastewater testing for coronavirus detection
