This week, you learned about the dynamics of organizational change. You learned that it can be planned or unplanned; it can begin inside or outside the organization; it can be symbolic or transformative.The purchase of a new learning management system (LMS) is a common occurrence in higher education today. The LMS provides the infrastructure and technology for all distance learning offerings—and many traditional classroom-based courses—so it is an event that can turn an entire institution upside down! The following scenario will give you the opportunity to apply your knowledge of change management in a real-world situation.Scenario:You are the director of distance learning at Hybrid University. The technology of distance learning is changing rapidly, and the university is considering the purchase of a new LMS. Faculty and staff will use the new system to design and deliver online courses. It has taken Hybrid University employees almost 5 years to become comfortable with the current system, the first and only one that many of them have ever used, so they are feeling a great deal of anxiety about the pending purchase. Your supervisor, the vice president for instruction, has scheduled a training session for midlevel administrators. He has asked you to lead it. The purpose of the session is to assuage some of their fears and minimize resistance to the change.

Educational standards refer to the different ways in which EMS providers are trained.   EMT’s, paramedics, and other levels of providers have varying levels of education / training.  Please incorporate how the Department of Transportation issues the National Standards curriculum within these trainings and how this curriculum outlines the main focus points for all levels of provider.   Within the paper an opinion on ANY part of this training should be created. Such as:  Should the government (DOT) outline the curriculum?  Should it be locally?  Regionally?  Nationally?  Should the training requirements be longer?  Shorter?   Any of those arguments could be chosen to formulate an opinion.  Support your opinion with at least 2 references.

The study of student retention requires a foundational understanding of the theories and events that have driven practice. Equally important, however, is an understanding of the evolution of theory across time against the backdrop of the societal, political, legal, and environmental issues that have impacted higher education as a whole. You will create an annotated timeline spanning the last century of higher education, noting the formation and evolution of key student retention theories as well as the parallel historical events that shaped both theory and practice. There is no length requirement; however, the timeline must include a minimum of 10 annotated events and must be well researched and properly cited. A minimum of 5 scholarly sources (including your textbook) must be used. All citations and reference must be in current APA format. The timeline may be created in either Microsoft Word or PowerPoint, but it must be visually represented as a timeline with annotations ranging from 1–3 paragraphs in length. The last few papers I have received the APA formatting has been horrendous. Discuss how college education can enhance a student’s long-term employment outcomes. In what ways does financial aid contribute to or detract from student success? Is it possible for career outcomes to differ for students of various backgrounds? individual student will chose a topic(s) of interest and do a brief synthesis of the major quantitative research related to the topic(s). A research question or series of questions will be developed which can be answered with quantitative, non-experimental, survey data from a convenience sampling of individuals (e.g., students, teachers, parents, or administrators). The student(s) will develop a numerical survey which attempts to answer the research question(s). The survey will then be administered, the data entered into a SPSS dataset, and the results analyzed using SPSS, and reported. All of these components will be incorporated in a paper approximately 20-25 pages in length.

You are as pleased as you can be with the course you are teaching on quality control methods. Your participants are energized by the ideas that they have encountered in the course and are brainstorming some great and practical applications to take back to the department and try out. What can you do to help ensure that the maximum transfer of learning takes place? How might you involve the supervisors in the department? What do you think their role should be in evaluation?
