The focus of these papers should be the particular reading (or podcast/documentary) that you are responding to. Your paper should include a summary of the key points of the piece, should critically assess it, should make connections to the other course materials (either the textbook or readings for that week and/or the textbook or readings from another week), and/or current events, and your opinion/thoughts on the reading(s), i.e. do you agree/disagree with the points made by the author(s) and why. As you will see in the rubric, points are allocated for each of these components. The response papers are formal writing assignments that must be prepared in accordance with the conventions of Standard Written English. Each paper should be between 4-5 pages long. Please do not write papers that are longer than five pages. All papers should be double-spaced, with 1-inch margins, and written in size 12 font. Also, why is it important to examine the development of antisocial proclivities in childhood and how does it apply to the study of offending behaviors in adolescence and adulthood?

Al Qaeda leadership, seeking revenge for the killings of Osama bin Laden and his son, Hamza bin Laden, has made direct threats using social media concerning U.S. Service members in the United States. Intelligence gathered from social media and cyber means indicate a plausible attack either at JFK international airport where service members return stateside, or at Fort Huachuca Army Base in Cochise, AZ. Unconventional means may be used, such as biological or chemical. What measures and countermeasures are indicated to address these possible acts of terrorism? Which agencies are involved? Would the military be involved? If so, how? What extra security measures, if any, would be needed?
