Critical Infrastructure Protection
For your final assignment, you will write an analytical research paper addressing a major issue of your choosing from among the topics covered in this course. As a research paper, your paper will have to answer a significant puzzle related to a course topic. For this assignment, you are essentially doing the first three elements of your research paper outlined below. Title Page of the Paper: The title of your paper should be brief but should adequately inform the reader of your general topic and the specific focus of your research. Keywords relating to parameters, population, and other specifics are useful. The Title Page must include the title, name, course name and number, and Professor’s Name. Introduction, Research Question, and Hypothesis: This section shall provide an overview of the topic that you are writing about, a concise synopsis of the issues, and why the topic presents a “puzzle” that prompts your research questions, which you will include. This section will be 1-2 pages. End your introduction with your research question. Review of the Literature: All research projects include a literature review to set out for the reader what knowledge exists on the subject under study and helps the researcher develop the research strategy to use in the study. A good literature review is a thoughtful study of what has been written, a summary of the arguments that exist (whether you agree with them or not), arranged thematically. At the end of the summary, there should still be gaps in the literature that you intend to fill with your research. It is written in narrative format and can be from 4-6 pages depending on the scope and length of the paper. As a literature review, this section should identify the common themes and theories that the prior research identified. In this section, what you do is look at the conclusions of prior research and identify what the common themes are you see in those conclusions. You then identify those themes. The APUS online library has some helpful information on writing a literature review. Technical Requirements Your paper must be at a minimum of 5-9 pages (the Title and Reference pages do not count towards the minimum limit). Scholarly and credible references should be used. A good rule of thumb is at least 2 scholarly sources per page of content. Type in Times New Roman, 12 point and double space. Students will follow the current APA Style as the sole citation and reference style used in written work submitted as part of coursework. Points will be deducted for the use of Wikipedia or encyclopedic type sources. It is highly advised to utilize books, peer-reviewed journals, articles, archived documents, etc.

Discussion Board Response
Respond to this classmate discussion board in at least 200 words. 6 hours ago Grayce Dorn DB 2 COLLAPSE According to Gian M. Fulgoni in her article, Will Digital Commerce and Analytics be the Death of Traditional Brands, conventional retail stores are closing at a record pace. According to the article the stark reality is that digital commerce now accounts for $1 in every $5 of consumers discretionary spending, and that number is growing at 20 percent annually, about four times faster than overall retail sales. This data shows how much of a threat online stores like Amazons marketing strategies are to conventional retail stores (ARTICLE). One specific advantage Amazon and other firms have over brick and mortar department stores is convenience. Consumers can shop for all of their needs by simply going online which is much less of a hassle than getting ready and using gas to go to an actual store. According to the article Retailers Get Creative, by Kaitlin Pitsker, one way brick and mortar retailers are reacting to online competitors is they are cutting prices. For example, Target announced price reductions on many of their groceries soon after Amazon bought whole foods and announced price reductions in some grocery items (ARTICLE 2). Another example Pitsker gives is airport vending machines. Companies such as Apple, Best Buy, CVS Pharmacy and more have expanded into airports through the use of vending machines. This helps these companies market to more people in a convenient and efficient way (ARTICLE 2). Both online and local retailers have advantages and disadvantages. While I believe there can be an even playing field at this point in time, I think we are heading into a future where online retailers will begin to overtake local retailers simply due to the convenience and vastness of online shopping. Amazon is currently in the process of introducing new products and services that could expand their business and advance online consumerism to a whole new level. One of these new advancements is the use of drones to deliver packages of up to five pounds. Introducing this technology could cut down shipping time drastically, providing an even faster delivery service. One other service Amazon is in the process of offering is Sunday delivery. (TEXTBOOK) Proverbs 15:22 applies to Christ followers in their routine business practices because it is so important for us to seek counsel in order to make wise decisions regarding our businesses and life in general.

Will a competition get more employees to sign up? How long should we run the program? Should we have a goal? What should the program be called? Should there be a prize at the end for the person who lost the most weight? Should we get rid of Friday morning doughnuts during the program? Should we have some healthy eating and healthy living seminars to encourage our employees to be healthier? – Write an email to your supervisor answering her questions. Then write an email that will go to all employees. Include all the information they will need and use persuasion to get them to join the weight-loss program. Write a third email to your instructor explaining the differences between the emails to your supervisor and your fellow employees.
