[Get Solution] Case Scenario
For this Course Project assignment, consider the case scenario below, then complete the assignment following the instructions underneath the scenario. Case Scenario Marvin has been working as a professional at a local social service agency for nearly a year. Throughout this time, he has worked with many different populations and he believes that he understands the diversity of different people. Marvin has personal biases against persons who do not identify with his political party or his religious faith. While completing an intake assessment for his new client, Christina, Marvin learned that Christina is an atheist and that she is a 26-year-old that has never voted and has “far right” conservative views. As Christina is providing insight into the personal problems that she is facing, Marvin internally conceptualizes that her lack of religious/spiritual beliefs and her opposing political views may be contributing factors to the difficulties she is facing. Though Christina qualifies for food stamps, based upon the financial information she has provided, Marvin fails to input the information correctly into the database, thus making her ineligible. When Christina respectfully questions why she was ineligible and begins to cry, Marvin refused to answer her question and told her she needed to seek assistance elsewhere. In a 2-page paper, written using proper spelling/grammar, address the following: Identify at least one (1) ethical dilemma evident in the case scenario above. Explain how the ethical situation should be handled based on the NOHS Ethical Standards for Human Services Professionals. You must cite at least one (1) credible source.
