Banned firearms in Canada

Following the recent mass murder in Nova Scotia by an active shooter, Prime Minister Trudeau  banned the sale, import and transport of 1500 “assault-style” firearms in Canada. There is much debate about whether this decision will result in less innocent people being killed in active shooter situations in Canada. Some have argued that the Prime Minister has over stepped his authority and has violated the rights of Canadian gun owners, despite not having a constitutional second amendment (Right to bear arms) in Canada as the United States has. Yet others believe there is little reason for anyone to own such a weapon and applaud the decision. Research this topic using critical thinking to gain a full understanding of the issue and provide information that reflects your position on this topic.  Your paper must be double-spaced, 12-point font, and a minimum 1,500 words. Wikipedia can help to direct you to actual sources of information.  The paper cannot be filled with quotes by the same author over and over again. Use different sources and have your own words in there as well.
