Part one – Go to the Misunderstood Minds Website http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/misunderstoodminds/  Click on each of the areas (Attention, Reading, Writing, and Mathematics) and complete the “Try it Firsthand” activities.  **you will need access to a computer with flash player for this activity. Please see this about Flash Player https://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/end-of-life.html    Part two –  watch the movie “How Difficult can this be? – the Fat City workshop” at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3UNdbxk3xs Paper – Write a 3-5 page paper on your experiences doing and watching these. Part 1 of paper- describing how you approached EACH of the Misunderstood Minds activities and how you felt as you did them? Did you try to cheat at all and try to do them more than once? Did you skip some when they got too hard? It is important to be honest since that is where learning comes from. Part 2 of paper – what were your reactions about some of the activities this group did? Did you see what they were asked to see?  How would you have reacted to being part of something like this? What did you learn about people and about learning disabilities?
