For each Article Analysis assignment a student will submit a 3 – 4 page analysis paper (APA format – Times New Roman font style; 12 point font size; double-spaced; 1 margins top, bottom, right and left sides). Papers must be at least 3 pages and not exceed 4 pages. General writing format – When writing the papers, DO NOT rewrite the article! Format the paper to reflect on: 1. What? What did I learn from the article as it relates to this class? What is new and of interest to me? 2. So what? What difference does this make? How is it relevant to me? How could this be relevant my past body of knowledge about psychology? 3. Now what? In the future, what might I say, think, read or do differently? How am I able to apply the concepts that I just read about? Article Analysis Checklist: A general checklist associated with the evaluation of an article analysis: 1. The title of the article is clearly written out at the beginning of the paper. Authors name, journal title, and year published is included 2 points 2. Specific (perhaps personal) reason this particular article was of interest 2 points 3. Elaborate on new information the student gained and/or previous beliefs challenged 5 points 4. Elaborate on how the information is relevant to the students past body of knowledge about psychology? 5 points 5. How I have been impacted? Has my thinking changed? Would I read another related article about this topic? 5 points 6. Possible general application of the information? 2 points 7. Paper is 3 4 pages in length and conforms to spacing, margin and font specifications. 4 points
