American Foreign Policy in the Persian Gulf Region

Two questions one per page: must be done within 90 mintues! (I know price woud be higher) 1. What were the key ways American foreign policy in the Persian Gulf region (Iran, Iraq, Saudi Arabia) changed from 1972-2003? What were the most important reasons for these shifts? 2. How effective was the United States in pursuing its foreign policy goals in the Middle East in the post-Cold War era (1992-2005)?
