[Get Solution] Cultural Conflict Mediation

As a leader, learning to engage with and mediate conflict is essential. After all, not everyone will think and feel the same, but by applying strong leadership skills you can harness the power of diversity to bring about a win-win solution. The goal of this assignment is to consider leadership skills and techniques that you would apply to solve a conflict situation. Please note that the focus of the assignment is incorporating leadership skills and traits, which you have been reading about, as opposed to solving the issue. For this assignment, you will write a 4-5 page paper identifying a community based cultural conflict and describe what makes it a cultural conflict. Research both sides of the issue/ conflict and explain each point of view briefly. If you were the leader, how would you address the situation?  Specifically: 1) Describe the cultural elements of the conflict, including defining the community and opposing viewpoints. 2) What are your biases/assumptions related to the cultural conflict issue? 3) How could these biases/ assumptions affect leadership strategies for this specific conflict? 4) Provide your personal mission statement and describe how you could use your mission statement to apply effective leadership traits to manage the conflict and mediate a resolution. 5) How would you incorporate outgroup listening?  6) Summarize your vision of a positive resolution. Add course materials that will support and strengthen your points. Mechanics: This assignment is to be submitted as an academic essay. You are required to reference the readings and articles that provide evidence to support your points. Give your paper a title, a brief introduction, and a conclusion. Adhere to the American Psychological Association (APA) guidelines for citation and references. Limit it to 1,000-1,250 words (4-5 pages) typed, double-spaced, Times New Roman, 12 point font, 1″ margins.
