Option #2: Central banks Central banks exert considerable control over the money supply. In your paper: Select a central bank other than the Fed (Bank of Japan, European Central Bank, etc.) to discuss in your paper. Identify the tools that central bank has to control the money supply in their country. Discuss how those tools can be used to control the money supply. Identify the tools, if any, the central bank regularly uses (for example, the Fed has 3 main tools but almost always uses only one of them) and explain why the central bank seldom uses the other tools. Discuss the most recent actions by that central bank. Evaluate those actions in terms of how they might affect your career decisions. For example, would the Fed actions make it better or worse to seek a bomb change or to leave the workforce and return to school, etc). Adhere to the following standards: Your paper should be 3-4 pages in length, not including the title or references pages. Include at least 3 scholarly reference.
