Traditional Chinese Stories
Im asking you to write a 5-6 page paper dissecting the irony that is in the Traditional Chinese story Lion Cub Lane. You must do a very close reading, and write about the irony of the emperor releasing all of the prisoners on his brother-in-laws behalf at the end of the story. The paper should show your close reading skills. It should have a consistent thesis, supported by a solid analysis of the primary text(s) of your choice. It should also follow the guidelines of the provided rubric attached. If you find any other points or overarching ideas that seem important or interesting or ironic as well, you may include them in the paper too.
