Select destination in one of the four regions (The americas, Asia and oceania, Europe and Middle East and africa. ESSAY – You need to provide a brief overview of the selected destination from the presentation and analyse its destination marketing and management strategy in an essay. An application of relevant theories into your analysis of the destinations practice is required. You would also examine its core source markets and segmentations, the inter-relationships of the destinations public & private sector stakeholders in tourism, and the roles of its DMO for the destinations success and sustainability’s an international tourism destination. PRESENTATION – You need to appraise the current official promotional campaign in both digital and conventional formats of the chosen destination adopted by the destination marketing/management organisation (DMO) and other marketing channels. You are required to develop a critique of the effectiveness of the promotional campaign and its materials in establishing a unique selling proposition within a global marketplace of international tourism. You need to identify and benchmark the destinations marketing efforts against its core competitors. You are also required to formulate appropriate and creative suggestions to update the destinations promotional campaign for the next five years.
