Public Health Law and Ethics

For this assignment, conduct research on public health ethics and then write a five- to six-page paper that addresses these prompts: ·       Which six ethical principles apply to public health laws? ·       Briefly explain the principles. Integrate examples of laws where the ethical issues are relevant by describing how the ethical principles support the law or are violated by the law. For example, you may write about the principle of autonomy. The law related to mandatory vaccinations violates the principle of autonomy. Explain how autonomy is violated by the law. You can also include ethical principles that support laws. For example, the principle of paternalism justifies seat belt laws. ·       Explain how respecting individual rights can be balanced with maintaining the health of the community.
