Energy is one of the most important issues in todays society. The Industrial Revolution was driven by fossil fuels, which can be credited with the high standard of living we enjoy today. Today 80% of global energy comes from fossil fuels. However, fossil fuels are nonrenewable and will not last forever. Society will need to shift from fossil fuels to other energy sources eventually.
