Read Case 2: Global Shared Services, McDonald’s Corporation, located in Mastering Leadership located in the Mastering Leadership text below Chapter 7 – 4 compelling cases page 138.
Discuss in your learning team the communications and group behavioral issues that might arise in an organization, such as McDonalds, that hires employees for their first job. Consider onboarding, performance reviews, team meetings, etc. Then discuss in your learning team the communications and group behavioral issues that might arise from your current work organizations that hire employees for their first job.
Each Team Member will perform two actions: (1) List two communication challenges noted from the Case Study. Each team member will provide information on these two communication challenges and suggest how these can be improved in the Case Study. (2) Provide information on communications and group behavioral issues that may be present, or arise, in your current work organization regarding the hiring of employees for their first job. Consider onboarding, performance reviews, team meetings, etc. Include detailed strategies to address and improve these analyzed communication challenges. Include what the expected outcome would be from the improved communication strategies.
The Learning Team will compile and reformat all information from each Learning Team member into one comprehensive document that has two (2) sections covering actions 1 and 2 above, with the second section covering the three goals listed below. Then submit the assignment as a team.
1. The first goal of this paper is to summarize the Case Study communication issues and improvements from each team member, then provide generic communication guidance that may be used in any industry organization by leadership.
2. The second goal is summarize the current work organization strategies used to address and improve the communication challenges and summarize the expected outcome.
3. These strategies should provide the third goal of developing generic communication strategies and actions to be used in any industry. The 3rd goal is the critical part of this paper.
