Job Roles & responsibilities (current work environment):• Design and recommend solutions in the areas of Unified Communications, Data Center, Wireless, Security and Virtualization using CISCO, VMWare, NetApp and other technologies.• Plan and modify technical design.• Attend on-going training, seminars, courses, etc. as required for developing and maintaining up-to-date technical skills and product knowledge.• Keep informed of industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about existing and emerging technologies and the latest product-line developments.• Participate in business meetings to identify and understand the customer’s goals and objectives in order to develop a system that will meet the customer’s current and future business needs.• Research and recommend future technical needs to customers in order to provide the most efficient and effective system for the organization.• Lead and participate in the design and deployment of new technology and enhancements to existing platforms.• Meet with customers and analyze their business and technical requirements to provide solutions.• Develop Bill of Materials and Statement of Work to meet the customer’s business and technical requirements.• Develop and deliver technical presentations and collaborate with the sales and implementation engineering team to close sales in a professional and effective manner.• Identify resale opportunities and support them to achieve sales plans and position new products and technologies.• Develop, present, or respond to proposals for specific customer requirements, including request for proposal (RFP) responses and industry-specific solutions.• Arrange for demonstrations or trial installations of equipment• Responsible for the successful completion of the Cisco Gold and other audits on an as needed basis.
