Social Analysis of Speech

This will be a social analysis speech, at least a minute and a half about -Boyz N the hood Address the following: ? Provide a brief overview of your selected film. Talk about why you chose the film and tell your audience a little about the setting, characters, and plot. ? What are the major social issues in the film? How are they manifested? ? What aspects of these issues and their portrayal do you think a sociological analysis will help illuminate? ? What sorts of sociological questions about the film are you interested in examining in your project? Specifically, the following critical elements must be addressed: 1. Introduction: You will begin your podcast by setting the stage for your audience, providing some context for the selected film. A. Identify the film you selected, and explain why you selected the specific film. B. Provide a concise overview of the film, providing specifics necessary for the audience about the setting, characters, and plot. 2. Sociological Approach: Here, you will explain a sociological approach to the audience. A. Identify the major social issues in the film and explain how they are manifested in the film. For example, the film may portray sexism, alienation, deviant behaviour, or anomie. 3. Sociological Analysis: A. Illumination: Identify the aspects of the social issues that could be illuminated by sociological analysis. B. Questions: Tell your audience what sorts of sociological questions about the film you are interested in examining.
