Sometimes you just seem to be going too fast and could use a deep breath to unpack and defend your arguments. Now that you have a draft, take some time to reoutline what you have in this draft. Take a hard look at the structure. Fold my comments into your outline. Have you built an argument that includes everything you need? Have you graciously explained the counterarguments? Have you explained why you ultimately disagree with those counterarguments? Sometimes my comments are most useful in helping to identify the counterarguments. So review the paper with the big picture in view—what is my argument, do I still believe it, how can I make it stronger, how can I better defend against counterarguments?—rather than focusing too much on the smaller details of sentence structure etc.
