Thus, you must take this learning and apply it to the larger issues of Language Policy & Language Program Models in your specific context.Directions:1. Take your time! This is ultimately a research paper, but you must take ownership of this information.b. How does this information impact you and your ability to provide language learning opportunities and/ or to receive language learningopportunities?4. The paper will be 10-12 complete pages; properly formatted APA title page and reference page not included in page count.5. You must have a minimum of 6 evidenced-based/ research- based references. You may use what is in the course shell, but you are not limited to those. They are not exhaustive!! 6. Define what language policies are and arent in your specific context.7. Identify who makes the language policies and from whom?a. Something to consider is how much input do you, yourself have in this process?8. Ask and answer in your paper: How do these language policy choices historically, externally, and locally impactthe language program models used or not used in your specific context? You are not limited to these below; they areonly suggestions. If you have an idea and are not sure, post it at the Q & A area for assistance!a. You may want to consider how case law helped shape language policies and language program model development/ implementation positively and negatively.i. In some instances, are we using the best program model out there or does the language policy explicitly and implicitly implemented prohibit it?b. You may want to consider how language policies helped and hinder the development of language development standards that inform language program models which ultimately should develop someones language abilities.9. Finally, you need to situate yourself into this research. In other words: what are your take-aways; how does this impact you and your ability help others develop language abilities in and out of classroom environments? Organizing paper considerations: Do you have a statement of purpose? Did you review the literature? Do you have appropriate transitions? Are your citations & references appropriately formatted in APA? Is your Style: word choice, sentence structure, appropriate given the directions and expectations?
