[SOLVED] Article/Video Reviews
The purpose of Article/Video Reviews are two-fold: You will become exposed to additional resources to continue your professional development by becoming interested in a topic and continuing to keep up to date. Ideally, you will learn about simple steps that could be implemented in your own workplace, which could benefit you in the long-run. You will make a connection between material covered in the course and real-world applications. You will use critical evaluation and writing skills to prepare the analysis. Use standard 12-point font, 1-inch margins, double-spaced, and a minimum of 500 words. A paragraph must consist of at least three sentences. Times New Roman is the preferred font, but not required. Write a paragraph summarizing the purpose of the article/Ted Talk and its intended audience (Max 5 points). Write 1 to 2 paragraphs succinctly summarizing the 3 main points of this talk. Ensure that you do not retell any stories that the speaker presented (Max 5 points). Write 1 to 2 paragraphs analyzing the applicability of these suggestions to organization design and/or change within your current workplace, former employer, volunteer organizations, student organizations, etc. (Max 5 points). Write 1 to 2 paragraphs analyzing whether this talk supported or refuted concepts as discussed in your textbook and/or course content. Be specific as to which concepts it relates (Max 5 points). (It supports course content) Write 1 to 2 paragraphs describing how you would use this knowledge in your future/current career field, your academic career, and/or your volunteer pursuits (Max 5 points). If you go over the 2-page requirement, that is acceptable. Please ensure that you are analyzing the main points in the article/Ted Talk, not only restating what the speaker said. Your submission will be graded on quality using the rubric as listed above!
