What are, in your opinion, the main differences and similarities between the 19 century and 20 century social movements? How and why did those differences occur? And the 21st century social movements? What is new and whats old in todays social movements? Elaborate a critical essay responding to these questions; support your paper with the syllabus readings (especially Tillys chapters and other materials you consider useful). Tips for writing: Read the prompt carefully, draft an outline with major ideas, cases of social movements, readings, etc. Think on a structure for your essay, and one or two arguments to organize your thoughts on the subject.
