[SOLVED] Water Scarcity
Reflections can be completed as a written assignment (1 page, double-spaced, 12 point Times New Roman font) or a video response (using the Canvas video recording tool, 4 minutes of monologue, PowerPoint optional.) These should be thoughtful analyses of the issues covered by the readings/videos/playlists assigned for the week, and should discuss the contrasting perspectives presented. First Week Reflections should be submitted here but also be posted in the Week 1 Discussion by Wednesday. Responses to the discussion are due Sunday. Week 1 Reflection Guidance: Part 1: Of the three issues we plan to cover in this course, which of these do you believe is the most pressing for human well-being? Which system produces the most vulnerabilities to impacts from climate change in the United States? In the world? Be sure to use at least 2 citations (in APA format) to support your assertions. Part 2: Sign up for free accounts on the FederalRegister.gov and Congress.gov websites. Search for a piece of legislation AND one piece of regulation that have been introduced/proposed since November 2018 and are relevant to your most pressing issue. Submit .pdfs of the `legislation and regulation on Canvas. No need to write up anything about these — just submit! Part 3: Take a few minutes to react to the video on the Dust Bowl. Explain what the Dust Bowl was, when it happened, and speculate about why I might have asked you to watch this as an introduction to the course.
