ou are asked to place your Case Study Artist within an art historical context and need to select 5 artists/artworks from this course that you feel relate to your case study artist. Remember relate can also mean contrast, or in opposition. We have been examining works of art across time- Think of each module as a period and make sure you include 4 different modules/periods in your examples. We also have been examining art from many contexts, so you decide how to relate the artists from the course to your case study. Come up with a theme (thesis) and title for your art historical analysis and discuss the 5 artists/art works you selected in relation to how they relate to what you have learned in this course. Since we have covered so much, you will need to narrow down what you focus on. This is an assignment where creativity in thinking will be rewarded. But keep your format simple. You will post a document with an introductory paragraph followed by 5 paragraphs and then a conclusion paragraph.
