[SOLVED] Political Science Argumentative Essay
This political science exam consists of an argumentative essay, where claims should be supported and illustrated using theory from the social sciences, and drawn from different countries. The essay itself should be structured similar to the two attached assignments (which both received top grades), with paragraphs containing around 200 words each. These paragraphs contain: 1 introduction 1 paragraph assessing which theory the paper will be informed by (see attached papers) 7-8 paragraphs supporting the argumentation 3-4 paragraphs fending off relevant counter-arguments 1 conclusion The introduction should contain a specific “line of argument” sentence (as seen in the attached assignments), which should be a concise statement linked to the following argumentation in the form of “This assignment will argue that (…)”. The red thread is important. The second paragraph should use the format “This assignment is informed by (..) theoretical/conceptual framework or underpinnings/assumptions (+methodology) The assignment itself should be centered around the question: “Why do social movements emerge?” Relevant theory could be structural strain theory, deprivation theory, comparative politics, resource mobilization theory, political process theory etc.
