[SOLVED] Variation in the Level of Democracy between Canada and Mexico
Research paper on my research question: What are the factors responsible for the variation in the level of democracy between Canada and Mexico? I need first an Intro explaining the levels of Democracy in Canada and Mexico. Secondly, I need Literature Review– general literature on the importance of Democracy. Third, Democracy in Canada and Mexico. Historical overviews, etc. Fourth, I need an Analysis to summarize evidences. Fifth, I need conclusions and lastly, I need a works cited page or bibliography. I have a four page instruction sheet on how it is to be written. I want it to be double spaced – 12 point – Times New Roman font with APA citations. This paper does not have a mandatory length although I am thinking it should be approx. 12 pages in addition to the bibliography. This paper is for a capstone class for graduation and is extremely important that it is done well. I need the best help. My Hypothesis is: I hypothesize that Economic Development, Political Leadership, and Political Culture are responsible for the variation in the level of democracy between Canada and Mexico. Discuss some patterns of democratization over the years and across time. . Ex: Huntingtons waves and reverses . Discuss why democracy has become increasingly desired since the end of the Cold War and why the third wave of democratization might be here to stay for some time (citation; ex: Huntington). . Causes of Democracy in Kenya: the historical (scholarly work) and empirical evidence a. What scholars say about whether or not the British prepared Kenyans for democracy before independence. b. What scholars say about whether or not Kenyan leaders have embarked political reforms that are favorable for democratization c. What scholars say about the connection between economic development and democracy in Kenya. d. Empirical evidence: provide World Bank data on economic development since 1970 (or since year of independence if it came after 1970). . Provide democracy scores from the Polity V index (systemicpeace.org) for those years. . Draw trend lines for the GDP/C and Polity V data . Do correlation analysis and see if there is a statistically significant relationship between the two variables.
