There are many reasons why an organization would involve volunteers to assist in a sponsored event. Many times, the expanse of the event demands more attention than the current paid staff can provide. Find a large non-profit, or a large community event (a bike race, or marathon, or even the local symphony, library, or garden/conservatory)Develop a questionnaire of at least five (5) questions asking them for the reasons they use volunteers, including the benefits and risks associated with volunteers.Write a 2-3 page double-spaced summary describing the interview and noting any insights gained.
