I have an essay with 7 pages is already done I need to edit and add a new insurrection to it INSTRUCTIONS NOT FOLLOWED: please follow these new guidelines from my instructor he requested last night: REMEMBER – AVOID mere single line sentence/statement – You must elaborate to clearly justify your sentences -ask simple question on your sentences – did your sentence shows appraisal – does it elaborate to include analysis of what you intend to say and does it expand by being critical in your evaluation of what you intend to say – your report MUST demonstrate your are writing an MBA analytical report. Consider the following: You must apply the various concepts taught in Ops Mgt, as appropriately, in your assessment 3 Your report must have an executive summary of not more than 3/4 of a page – Briefly what is the problem you are facing, How you wish to analyse and propose to solve the problem then what benefit you are expecting from this proposal In Introduction section: you can relate your background to concepts such as low productivity – inefficiency or not effective to customers (internal/external) – lack of competitive edge to appraise problem/gaps/challenges in your current processes/activities (As_Is) Appraise your current process (As_Is) – consider using Transformation Systems to discuss how the process works or/and identify root_cause_of_the_problem – analyse your process input, the set of activities, the related business rules or the mechanism – which of these are causing problem to your identified gap. Or may be you want to apply Quality Mgt of PDCA or Six Sigma as elements to identify problem and/or solution as well. You can also consider using Process Mapping to show the flow of your activities (remember: you need to show oly those activities that are causing the problem – extraction of the whole process – may be 4 or 5 activities) – show activity cycle time, capacity for the indv activities then for the Overall process – flow time, capacity and cycle for the whole flow In your proposal (To_Be process) – consider what concept/s you can apply to solve the above problem you identified. You can analyse what process strategy (check the type of process strategies suitable for your process) is suitable for your proposal. Use Process Mapping again to show the changes in To_Be process solution. Pay attention to the difference in cycle time, capacity and overall flow time. Or consider the layout strategy of your workplace…. May be use Quality Mgt to measure and show how you wish to improve. You must do comparative analysis between the As_Is vs, To_Be processes. Consider how many activities or time you reduced, how much costs you have save – compare the level of productivity from As_Is against To_be. fe, how efficient or effective your proposed To_Be can be as compared to the existing As_Is. Has your proposal increase the competitiveness of your process to increase the customers (internal/external) satisfaction/benefit/profit – how your proposal add value to your own workload. Your conclusion: must summaries what was the problem, what is your proposal, how your proposal increase the productivity/competitiveness of your chosen process. What is the limitation of your proposal and If given more time, how would you have done it better. Hopefully the above helps your to improve your assignment before submission.
