The purpose of this assignment is to compare the coverage of a major news story in three different media outlets. Start by choosing a story that is in the news on ONE day. Be specific.  These days, there is only one story, so don’t give a general comparison on how the coronavirus is being covered. Instead, choose something like the coverage of President Trump’s news conference, or an action being taken by a mayor or a governor.  Then analyze how the story is covered by choosing one representative of EACH category below: 1) A major newspaper.  Good choices would be the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, or the Los Angeles Times. 2) A television program.  This could either be a newscast by CNN or one of the major networks (ABC, CBS, NBC, or FOX).  Or it could be a nightly cable news program on, for example, MSNBC (e.g. The Rachel Maddow Show) or Fox (e.g. Sean Hannity) 3) A non-traditional outlet.  This could be a blog or a news aggregator.
