Since the 1800’s, America has called inventors world Hero’s for their inventions and their impact on society and way of life. So much so, that inventor Benjamin Franklin was immortalized on the American one hundred dollar bill, the only non US President on American currency til this day. Some inventors mostly African Americans were forced to sell their inventions because of socially constructed racist practices in the United States which did not allow them to file for patents due to their race, gender or economic status. Name and write a one page report about an inventor you would recognize for their invention, and how did his/her invention impact society?
